We can now announce that we will be joining Kitchen Witch on Friday 10th June 2016 during their June residency at The Grace Emily Hotel. Mark Curtis will also be present to warm the night up with some acoustic tunes. As usual you can expect the Grace to be providing a great cosy atmosphere and tasty beers, and you can trust us to take care of all your funk-n-rock desires…
Although you surely don’t need any further reasons to come along, there will not only be free entry, but Kitchen Witch will be launching their new EP, Back to the Mud. We have been lucky enough to hear a preview of this release, so we can say with quiet confidence that you will be wanting to buy one!

So we again tried to do the impossible and be at two places at once on Saturday to see Filthy Lucre launch their new CD Mara at Jive, with amazing support from Silent Duck and Rat Ta’Mango.
At The Grace Emily, Lily Mojito played their first full-band show, with Howl n Bones and Kitchen Witch.
Seriously, some nights there are just too many great local acts on in Adelaide… we had moderate success at seeing everything, with photos below.

So this is why you should just wander into live music venues to see what is on. Gorilla Jones blew us away at the Grace Emily on Friday night launching their digital-only release, Ingresso, joined by world-music-y types NUVO.

It was such a pleasure being asked to support Athletic Teenage Joggers on their farewell show last night. It was an amazing night of friends and fun. Special thanks to the Grace Emily for being great hosts as always!
If the loss of ATJ is too much to bear, we can recommend purchasing multiple copies of their album, Hello Demons, which can be found on Bandcamp.
Finally, a shout out to Mark and Jeremy Loobin’, collectively The Loobin’ Brothers, for getting us warmed up. A few photos are below.
The Loobin’ Brothers at the Grace Emily Hotel on 13/6/2015 with Athletic Teenage Joggers and Friday’s Fox.
Well, do you want the good news or the bad news first?
The bad news is that Athletic Teenage Joggers are closing the the book of ATJ, announcing an indefinite hiatus. The good news is that they have organised one final gig to say goodbye before they go, and that they have asked Friday’s Fox to join them on 13th June 2015 at The Grace Emily Hotel. You’ll also find The Loobin’ Brothers around on the night, we are assuming to provide some sort of lubrication service.
Update: Set times should be 9:15 The Loobin’ Brothers, 10:15 Friday’s Fox, 11:15 Athletic Teenage Joggers.

Satan’s Cheerleaders showed of their awesome songs and awesome rock faces at The Grace Emily Hotel on Saturday 16th May 2015. Joining them were The Villenettes (beware of autoplaying video!), who were playing their last show before a few months break for writing and recording, and Misfits of Sythia performing their arty/fusiony/rocky tracks.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Grace Emily the other night, we can’t believe how many beautiful faces we saw, both good old friends and strangers!
Here’s a few pics of the stars of the show, Athletic Teenage Joggers, who tell us you can now purchase their album Hello Demons on BandCamp.

Athletic Teenage Joggers EP Launch
At the end of this month we will be helping our friends Athletic Teenage Joggers launch their debut EP entitled Hello Demons. This is currently getting some pre-launch airplay on Three D Radio, but if you haven’t managed to hear any of it yet then let us assure you it has been worth the wait.
Also accompanying us will be Kitchen Witch, who are currently recovering from their massive show supporting Tex Perkins’ The Ape last Saturday night.
If that’s not enough, this will also be the first public show with our new keyboard player!
This is a free entry gig, so you can spend the money on buying the CD, right?
So, while wandering through one of our usual haunts, The Grace Emily Hotel, we came across these folks doing their thing. No idea who The Pretty Lies are, but they played a nice set. Since they don’t seem to have any music up, hopefully we will see them live again soon…

We had a great time at our debut show last night. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us, we hope you enjoyed yourselves!
It was a pleasure to share the night with two other fine Adelaide bands, Appomattox Run and Kitchen Witch. We will see you both again soon! Thanks also to the The Grace Emily Hotel for hosting us, it has always been one of our favourite pubs, a great atmosphere every time.
Finally thanks to those who sent us their photos of Friday’s Fox, some of which are posted below.
